Overboard for Mac is sold through Polar, the merchant of record — your purchase, taxes, invoices, and refunds are governed by Polar's terms of service.
One purchase licenses Overboard for Mac for your own use on up to 3 Macs, with 1 year of updates included. The version you have keeps working after that. Don't redistribute the app or your license key.
Overboard is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for Overboard.
Overboard launches real Claude Code sessions on your machine, on your own Claude subscription, with the permissions you configure — scheduled and dispatched runs start in Claude Code's auto-approve mode so they can work unattended. Those sessions read and write your files, run commands, and can publish content or call services you have connected. You are responsible for what they do, for the projects and accounts you point them at, for reviewing their output, and for your agreement with Anthropic. Runs consume your Claude plan's limits.
The free Overboard plugin is separate, open source under the MIT license. Overboard for Mac bundles Herdr, a terminal multiplexer by its own authors, under the Apache License 2.0. The bundled binaries are the official releases, re-signed with our Developer ID so macOS can notarize the app, and otherwise unmodified. A copy of Herdr's license ships inside the app and opens from Overboard → Acknowledgements. Herdr is provided by its authors as-is under that license; Overboard is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Herdr project, and the Herdr name belongs to its authors.
We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do. Continued use of the software after a change means you accept it.
